Mike Scott saddle fitting Sept. 16

Mike Scott is back to check everyone's saddle fit on September 16th, 2011. He is available two days if we have enough interest so please contact Elaine if you are interested in an appointment and let her know what your saddle needs for Mike are. He is one of the few unaffliated saddle fitters left, an important quality to have when trying to make do with what we have. No sales, no pressure, we are happy to have him back in the area!

Catherine and Cadillac

Just because Cadillac is back in competition this year..let's enjoy again what we were missing!! Good Luck to Catherine with both her marvelous horses to make the 2012 games. (This clip was from London, site of the next years Olympics!)

Mary Kim and Reggie pair up on short notice for a 69% at First Level!

Mary Kim rides Reggie for only the third time EVER at Dressage at Lexington in July and posted a 69% and 2nd place!!! Go Mary Kim! Reggie was a fill-in for Mary Kim's own horse, Ritter, who went lame the night before the show. So it was Reggie to the rescue to give Mary Kim confidence and remind him what showing was all about. Watch for Reggie and Elaine back in the show ring in Sept at 3rd level.....

Patrick Tigchelaar clinic a success!!

Fun and learning was had by all! It may have been a little warm but hey, it's July in NC! Patrick was a hit with riders and auditors alike for his down to earth, classic but demanding approach. He taught several beginners as well as several upper level horse and rider combinations with equal enthusiasm and knowledge. Boghi learned (again) that he must concentrate on his work whether he has an audience or not! Will learned changes on a circle (!!!!!)and had some pretty nice working pirouettes. Wendy Taylor was back at LKN Dressage with Wulff and looked awesome schooling PSG. Ritter and Mary Kim polished their use of the double bridle and tried out some changes. Keri and Barb rode in the very first clinic ever and both want to ride again!! Now that is a testimonial to Patrick if there ever was one! Two clinic newbies want more, lol! Fortunately for them, Patrick will most likely be back in late August with riding spots almost gone already. Check back for exact dates and contact Elaine if you are interested in riding.
We are working on posting some video clip highlights so check back often!

Boghi at recent Catherine Haddad clinic

Catherine Haddad Staller came back to Patrick and Lani Tigchelaar's farm in Va for a short notice clinic June 6 and 7th and Boghi and I were lucky enough to be able to attend! She was very happy to see Boghi's new way of going and congratulated me for sticking with him! Yay! Those not familiar with Catherine, she is a very clear and communicative instructor with more tools in her toolbox than anyone I have ever ridden with. She ALWAYS has the right solution. She is a MUST to audit or ride with if you can get the chance. And the chances will go up as she is now married to an American and will be moving back to the States next year!!! Maybe she will have time to make it here to North Carolina for a clinic at LNDC!
